FACE to FACE
FACE to FACE is a short documentary that explores how the experience of living in one of the busiest places in Europe has changed, through an interview with Thijs, a family friend who has lived on the Canal Ring in Amsterdam for around 50 years.
I was inspired to make this film after returning to Amsterdam from six months living in Finnish Lapland, feeling overwhelmed by how many people coexist in such a small area.
This film was chosen for the “Het ProjeKt” filmfestival celebrating Amsterdam’s 750 year anniversary, and screened at Kriterion Filmtheater.
